THE TWO DAUGHTERS:
Two daughters are mentioned in these listigs. They are identified as mothers to sons through Esau and his son, Elipaz. The relationships imply the course of events that led to Esau's eventual dominance in Edom.

Oholibamah, daughter of Anah the son of Seir, married Esau. So, in the previous listings, Esau's three sons, Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah are also great-grandsons of Seir. Esau apparently married into the kingdom of Edom through Aholibamah. While,through Seir's daughter, Timna, sister to Lotan, a son was born to Eliphaz, Esau's son.

SONS OF SEIR:
Gen. 36:20,21   These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; (1) Lotan, and (2) Shobal, and (3) Zibeon, and (4) Anah, and (5) Dishon, and (6) Ezer, and (7) Dishan: these are the (SEVEN) dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

GRANDSONS OF SEIR:
Gen. 36:22-25, 28   And the children of Lotan were (1) Hori and (2) Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna. And the children of Shobal were these; (3) Alvan, and (4) Manahath, and (5) Ebal, (6) Shepho, and 7) Onam. And these are the children of Zibeon; both (8) Ajah, and (9)Anah: this was that Anah, (a grandchild of Seir), that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father. And the children of Anah, (a son of Seir), were these; (10) Dishon (his son), and Aholibamah, (wife of Esau and mother to Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah), the daughter of Anah. The children of Dishan are these; (11) Uz, and (12) Aran.

Gen. 36:26, 27   The children of Ezer, (the three shown on the thumb of the priestly hand) are these; (1) Bilhan, and (2) Zaavan, and (3) Akan. And these are the children of Dishon; (4) Hemdan, and (5) Eshban, and (6) Ithran, and (7) Cheran.
