The scales on those arms cross at a point which reads off the Cos and Sin values directly.
This tool allows the student to better visualize the standard Physics solutions, such a the car on the
slope and the wheel barrel problems. A lesson plan is included which directs the students
to find the Sin and Cos values for a variety of choosen angles. When finished, the students are directed to mark their own
papers by finding the same values on the Trig Table in the appendix of their classroom textbook.

The Physics Forceometer booklet contains the templates needed to photocopy (onto card stock) the parts
to be cut out and assembled by the students. This is usually accpmplished during a two period "lab" session.
The Forceometer adds a concrete style of instruction to the abstract use of the Trig Tables. Students
can better visually the ideas when resolving Force problems. The 3 arms of the Forceometer represent the Forces
at work.
The booklet contains 20 ready-to-use
heavy card stock forms for student Lab assignment. To assure that the project is properly constructed, one sample Forceometer
