Most students easily remember the Times Tables Five and below.
However, in Special Education, that is not the case
so often. Using this method for the lower Times Tables may be the place to begin. But in all cases, students find
this connection between the Tables and their fingers interesting and it adds to any lesson, of course.
But, starting
here as a curiosity perhaps, becomes easily included further down the learning curve when the higher tables might be more
challenging for some students.
From experience, sending Children home to practice using their fingers
some turns into memorized Tables because the repetitions are rather limited.
