Rev. 3:18 I counsel thee i.e.; (the leadrship of the present churches) to buy of me gold,... (the golden spiritual insights of the irrepressible idea of psychic consciousness emerging from scripture) ... tried in the fire... (of time),... that thou mayest be rich... (in continued church leadership); and (re-interpret upon) white (yet unwritten, new pages), raiment,... (of revised books of your evermore obvious misinterpretations), ...that thou mayest be clothed... (and protected in thine thinking with secularly acceptable scriptural confirmations) ...and that the shame... (as visited in Geocentricism, in Creationism, in seeing literal world-wide floods, and ignoringEvolution as stad in Gen 4 and Gen 5, etc) ... of thy nakedness... (of your unsupportable intuitive irrationalities) ...do not appear... (and confront you);

And anoint thine eyes...(awaken!)... with (the) eyesalve... (of factual empirical truths), ...that thou mayest see... (socio-psychologically the Truth).

Rev. 3:1 And unto the angel, (The Collective Psyke' of the Age of Reason) of the (the Reformed Roman Catholic) church, in Sardis, (the fifth stage of church development and maturation), write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, (within the individual soul = psyke': i.e.; Id, Libido, Ego, Anima, Self, Superego, and Harmony), and the seven stars (the collective sociological manifestation of the paradigms in the seven Church Ages); I know thy works, that thou hast a (great and long established) name that thou livest, and art dead.

Rev 3:2 Be watchful (for my coming), and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect (nor infallible) before God.

Rev. 3:3 Remember therefore (beyond those intervening centuries of misconduct by the Catholic Church) how thou hast received (from the corrupt leadership thereof) and heard (dogma invented in times of tremendous backsliding), and hold fast, and repent, (undertake reform). If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief (taking away your remaining congregation), and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee, (the Reformation, 1517).

Rev. 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis, (such as sister Teresa),which have not defiled (by dogma) their garments (of the scriptures); and they shall walk with me in (a future) white (as pages of the renewed insight which is to come): for they are worthy.

Rev. 3:5 He that overcometh, (the new creature to evolve), the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name, (Christian Homoiousian), out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev. 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Rev. 3:7 And to the angel, (symbolizing one of the Jean Piaget/Ericson psychological mental sets underlying the cultural paradigms of the progressive Christian maturation) of the church in Philadelphia, (the historical and developmental period of Protestantism), write These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David: [Rev 1:16; Zech 4:10], he that openeth (the scriptures), and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth: [Rev 5:5];

Rev. 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door (out of Roman Catholicism), and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength (in Martin Luther and the coming Age of Enlightenment), and hast kept my Word (now widely available with the advent of the new printing press), and hast not denied my name, (Trinity).

Rev. 3:9 Behold, I will make them, (the people of the Inquisition), of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are (the real) Jews, (the priesthood of Catholic membership), and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come (through their Reformation), and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Rev. 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,(which is when the revived beast of ancient Roman and Greek culture shall return in The Renaissance), which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev. 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars, (the meaning of the seven psychic archetypes) which thou sawest in my right hand, ("cued" on the seven bones of the palm, in the manner of the priests before Aaron: [Rev 1:16]), and the seven golden, (spiritually enlightening), candlesticks, (all burning continuously throughout the seven developmental stages of Christian growth).

The seven (psychic) "stars" are the angels, (symbolizing the seven Jean Piaget/Ericson psychological mental sets underlying the cultural paradigms of the Christian maturation), of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are (the seven different historical and developmental periods of Christianity), the seven churches:

[(1) Ephesus, the first century time of the Apostles, and unto (2) Smyrna, the Terror instigated by Diocletian (303-13), and unto (3) Pergamos, (the 313 AD Edict of Toleration, and the recognition of Christianity by Emperor Constantine, in 325 AD, followed in 382 AD with the coming of the Lord upon the clouds; and unto (4) Thyatira, the Papacy of 598 AD, and the formation of Universal Roman Catholicism, and unto (5) Sardis, The Reformed Catholic Church beginning in pre-Neoplitian times, and unto (6) Philadelphia, the Protestantism begun by Luther, from 1517 AD, and unto (7) Laocidea, the Humanistic Christianity of the New World.
