Birds of prey
Birds of prey would eat the dead flesh of the enemy armies that fall in battle against Israel (Ezekiel 39:4, 17; Revelation 19:17-21). It is a little known fact that Israel is the bird migration capital of the world. During the spring and fall migrations, billions of birds fly over Israel. Many of these migratory birds are raptors, carrion (dead flesh) eating birds of prey. In fact, 34 species of raptors migrate over Israel.

1 Therefore, thou son of man, (The Allied Forces of WWI), prophesy against Gog, (Islam), and say, Thus said the Lord God, (i.e.; almighty Reality):

Lo, I am against thee, O Gog, (Islam), prince of Rosh, (the leader), Meshech (The Ottoman Empire, reduced today to Turkey), and Tubal (a section of modern-day Turkey).

2 And have turned thee back (from muslim expansion), and leave but the sixth part of thee, (Turkey), and enticed thee (to the Battle of Megiddo at Rafat).
And caused thee to come up from the sides of the north, (where in the north, British cavalry, traversing the Field of Armageddon, had occupied Nazareth, Afule, and Beisan).
And brought thee in against mountains of Israel (at Megiddo, the ancient city in northwestern Palestine, southeast of Haifa in present-day Israel),

3 And, (on 8 September, 1917, Sir Edmund Allenby - British regional Commander-in-Chief launched the Battle of Megiddo at Rafat to), have smitten thy bow out of thy left hand, thine arrows out of thy right, I cause to fall (in a trail of an unbroken series of victories including those at Damascus and Beirut, the latter seized by a French fleet).

4 On mountains of Israel thou fallest, (at the Field of Armageddon, at Nazareth, Afule, and Beisan, the Turkish muslim army was collected as disorganized masses of enemy troops and transport as they arrived from the south).
Thou (forces of the Ottoman Empire, i.e.; the Turkish empire in 1914-1919 AD), and all thy bands, and the peoples who are with thee, (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria).
To ravenous fowls, a bird of every wing, to a beast of the field, I have given thee for food, (all avenues of escape open to the enemy, except the fords across the Jordan between Beisan and Jisr-ed-Dameer, were thus closed).

5 On the face of the field (of Armageddon, i.e.; the hill of Megiddo), thou fallest, (in 1918, the defeat of Turkish forces by the British under General Allenby), for I have spoken,

6 I have sent a fire (of artillery and bombs from airplanes) against Magog, (who are by the Greeks called Scythians, who spoke an Iranian language. They lived in what is now Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of Iran, Ukraine, and Altay Mountains and Siberia in Russia in the centuries before 300 AD), and against the confident inhabitants of the isles, (Elishah, modern Cyprus), Tarshish, (modern southern Turkey), Kittim, (modern Cyprus), and Dodanim, [alt. 1 Chron. 1:7 'Rodanim,' i.e.; the island of Rhodes], west of modern Turkey between Cyprus and the mainland of Greece), and they have known that I am God.

7 And My holy name, (i.e.; almighty Reality), I make known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them pollute My holy name, (i.e.; almighty Reality), any more, and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One, (Reality, itself), in Israel.

8 Lo, it hath come, and it hath been done, (Turkey sued for an armistice of surrender, which was duly agreed on 30 October 1918 in Mudros), an affirmation (of Bible prophecy) of the Lord, (Reality).

9 And gone out have the inhabitants of cities of Israel, and they, (the Palestinians an the Jews living in Israel), have burned and kindled a (battle of) fire, with armour, and shield, and buckler, with bow, and with arrows, and with hand-staves, and with javelins, and they have caused a (battle or) fire to burn with them seven years, (until the destruction was written down, of The Ottoman Empire after the Armaggeddon, by Mustafa Kemal [Ataturk] who abolished the caliphate 1917-1924).

(continue)

On July 24, 1923, the Treaty of Lausanne recognized the new Republic of Turkey and settled borders of many states that had once been part of the Ottoman Empire.
In Turkey, Mustafa Kemal (Ataturk) abolished the caliphate on March 3, 1924, bringing to an end the dynasty of Osman, Sultan/Caliphate of the Ottoman Empire, which had come to power in 1299.
